Our Garden

Doug made us a raised garden for our vegetables. He used a lot of chicken wire around the garden and underneath it to keep away rabbits, squirrels and gophers. It took two days and three trips to the nursery to fill up the garden with dirt.

Michelle and I played at Sunshine Gardens in Encinitas. We bought LOTS of tomatoes - 3 different kinds, cucumbers, arugula, green leaf lettuce, artichokes, celery, strawberries, watermelon, zuchinni, onions and beets. We bought a bunch of herbs that are in pots up on the shelf. Even Isabelle had fun in the garden.

We finally have our roses planted too. And we put bark on our steps. It's pain to try to grow anything on them; we've been trying different grasses since we put the steps in four years ago.

I'm hoping my thumb is still green. It's been awhile since I gardened seriously.
